One of the best ways to find an opportunity is to ask around through networks of people you already know. However, it is also a good idea to check out what kinds of jobs and training programs are available beyond your circle. There are many opportunities in the food- and farming-loving area of southeastern PA, but if you are up for traveling, you can go farther away to gain new experiences, too.

- Sustainable Food Jobs - blog with job, internship, and apprenticeship opportunities updated often
- FoodCorps - opportunities to serve through the federal government's AmeriCorps program in food- and farming-related positions to receive training, experience, a living stipend, and college tuition money
- ATTRA Sustainable Farming Internships and Apprenticeships searchable database
- Center for Environmental Farming Systems Internship at NC State (they also list jobs and apprenticeships on their site)
- SAEA list of Academic Degree Programs in Sustainable Agriculture
- WWOOF (WorldWide Opportunities on Organic Farms) - volunteer and get experience on organic farms throughout the world, often with room and board supplied in exchange for your work (many different arrangements to suit your interests)
