Welcome!

Hello, young people and adults alike!

I am a graduate student in the anthropology of food and a part-time farm educator from the Philadelphia area. I created this site as a space to collect resources for kids and teens (and educators) who are interested in food and farming issues and activities. I have had the pleasure to work with kids and teens in special food- and farming-focused educational programs, and I wanted to offer a starting point for continuing to learn about the issues we explored and for finding out about other opportunities. The focus here is especially on resources that would be useful to young people in southeastern Pennsylvania, but people from elsewhere will likely find something interesting, too.

The pages to the left are organized by the types of resources they list. A brief description accompanies most links.

Of course, if you are a young person, you should explore these and other resources with an older person, like a parent, guardian, or teacher. Maybe your interest will even spark some in them!

This is more of a resource compilation than a traditional blog. Updates will be infrequent, but constructive comments that share more resources are welcome.

All the best,
Maddie
